Immigration attorney Aaron Blumberg will be visiting FIT for a free lecture entitled “Immigration 101: What happens After I Graduate?” This presentation will outline all available options for international students (F-1 and J-1) to remain in the United States after graduation. The presentation will begin with an in-depth look at the H-1B and other work visas, including an analysis of the requirements, fees, timelines and other information needed to properly transition from F-1 or J-1 to a work visa. Mr. Blumberg will also discuss the various green card categories, focusing mostly on employment and family-based permanent residence. The lecture will conclude with a Q&A from the audience.
